Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation/Robotics Engineer to join our remote engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize automated systems and robotic solutions that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and system reliability.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in automation engineering, robotics integration, control systems, and software development. This position requires analytical thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement robotic and automation systems for industrial or operational applications

Program and configure PLCs, robotic controllers, and automation platforms

Develop control algorithms and system logic for motion control and robotic operations

Integrate sensors, actuators, vision systems, and control hardware

Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems to improve performance and reduce downtime

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration

Conduct system testing, validation, and performance analysis

Maintain detailed documentation of system architecture, processes, and configurations

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

3+ years of experience in automation or robotics engineering

Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)

Experience with robotic systems (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar)

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or structured text

Understanding of control systems, motion control, and industrial communication protocols

Experience with CAD tools and system simulation software

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (valid U.S. work permit required)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with machine vision systems and AI-based automation

Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and IoT integration

Knowledge of cloud-based monitoring systems

Experience working in a fully remote engineering environment
